The Circle
You do not walk out alone.
The end of a term is precisely when the leak returns for most men. So the container does not end. It becomes a standing membership: your pod where possible, the weekly session, the library, and a role held for named men.
Why it continues
A membership sold on content competes with free forums. One that holds your named brothers does not.
By the time your term ends, the five men in your pod know your pattern, your counter-vow and your winter. That is not a feature we can sell to a stranger. It is the reason the Circle is defensible, and the reason we would rather you stayed than left and came back at zero.
What it holds
- Your pod.Continuity where possible. Your private channel and your record persist.
- The weekly session.Same hour. Same practice. Facilitated by a pod steward, not by the founder.
- The Circle of Twelve. Two pods, one name from the sky, one quarterly gathering. The name names the Circle. It does not describe you or predict you.
- A role.Twelve named duties. Rank here is earned by holding one, never by tenure and never by a number.
- The library. The protocols, the Translation Table, the recorded sessions.
Three rituals
Each one honest about what it is.
- Morning Roll Call. One line each morning: the one thing you will do today. Seen by your pod. Counted as presence, not perfection. A man reporting a leak is present.
- The Mirror of Relationship. The witnessed container in which a man is reflected by his brothers. Alone, he sees only his self-image. Here, he sees himself.
- The Ascent. The quarterly shared ordeal. Real difficulty, with an altitude and therefore a measure, ending in a summit rather than in survival.
Between the screen and the mountain
Local circles, and one gathering a year.
Members host local circles under a published two-page protocol, and the whole Circle meets once a year in person, free to members. A jump from a screen to a retreat with nothing in between loses the men who cannot yet justify the cost, so there is something in between.
The Retreat
Forged in fire. Tempered in ice. By invitation.
Four to five days in a monastic setting: cold, heat, silence, breath, and councils of truth, within safe containment. Spartan by design. It is not applied for. Men are invited from within the Circle when their practice and their leadership say they are ready.
The rate
$97 a month.
Founding-cohort rate. Changes are published with a reason and without a countdown. Leave any month; the exit is honourable and says so.
